Dr. Ira Kraus was born in Brooklyn, New York. He has made his home in the Ringgold, Georgia area for the past 20 years. He recently has embarked on a personal journey for better health. Since June 1, 2009 he has lost 73 of his goal of 130 pounds. He works out daily and has developed a new love for road biking. He is an avid bowler, enjoys swimming, surfing the net and playing with Savannah his yellow Labrador retriever. He is a very active supporter of various children Recreational Sports and school events as local professional bowlers.

Dr Dr Kraus attended Washington and Jefferson University and received his Bachelor of Arts in Economics in 1985. He graduated from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in New York, New York with his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine in 1989. Dr. Kraus completed his Podiatric Surgical Residency through the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in New York City. He has obtained Board Certified Status with the American Board of Podiatric Surgeons. He is a member of both the American Podiatric Medical Association as well as the Tennessee Podiatric Medical Association. He is a Fellow with the American Society of Podiatric Surgeons and the American Academy of Podiatric Practice Management.

Dr. Dr. Kraus joined the practice of Advanced Foot Care in 1990. He is currently the Managing Partner for the practice. He is licensed to practice Podiatric Medicine in Georgia, Tennessee, New York, Florida and Indiana. Dr. Kraus is a current member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and is past President of the Tennessee Podiatric Medical Association. Dr Kraus is a member of the APMA Board of Trustess. There are only 13 members nationwide. He is very active in areas that are shaping the future of Podiatric Medicine on both the local and national levels. In 2009 he received the Kennsion award from the American Podiatric Medical Students Association. This is the highest award that they give to a practicing podiatric Physician who has done the most for the advancement of Podiatric Medical Students. He has been voted as one of the top 150 most influential Podiatrists in the United States every year since 1999. He is an active supporter of the local American Diabetes Association and is currently on their Board Of Directors.

Dr. Dr. Kraus is a regular speaker on the local talk show, "Call the Doctor" which airs on WRCB. He frequently lectures at local meetings and for area facilities. He is currently involved with the training of Podiatric Medical Assistants who are obtaining their x-ray certification in Tennessee.

Dr. Dr. Kraus is a dynamic practitioner who is concerned with all aspects of patient care. He has fallen in love with the Greater Chattanooga area and its people and considers it a privilege to be able to provide quality Podiatric care to the people of the Chattanooga and North Georgia area.

Dr. Michael Wiles was born and raised in Illinois, his family moved Ohio for a job transfer. He has made his new home here in Chattanooga for the past 2 years now and has been enjoying every minute. Why move to Chattanooga one may ask? Well, to get away from the blistering cold, icy and snowy winters of the North. His hobbies include cycling, wood working, Frisbee golf, swimming and photography to name a few.

Dr. Wiles attended "THE" Ohio State University following in his father's foot steps. The day after his transcripts were sent into OSU, his parents decided to move to Orlando, Florida, and have been there ever since. Looks like Mom and Dad won the race to move to the South! He received a bachelor's degree in Zoology and still loves animals to this day. He attended Des Moines University in Iowa because it reminded him of where he grew up in Illinois. He graduated from DMU with a doctorate in Podiatric Medicine in 2003. After his education, he continued into residency at Genesys Regional Medical Center in Flint, Michigan. There he received advanced training in foot and ankle surgery from some of the top doctors in Michigan. He would travel all over Michigan getting new tips and techniques from some of the finest doctors podiatry has to offer. Dr. Wiles received extensive training in foot and ankle surgery. Dr. Wiles is trained in foot trauma and flat foot reconstruction, arthroscopic surgery, foot and ankle deformities and general podiatric surgical procedures. Dr. Wiles also had the opportunity to receive training in ankle and leg Orthopedic surgery and trauma call during his residency training.

Dr. Wiles is excited to practice in Chattanooga/Northern Georgia area helping out each patient that he encounters. Even though he has been known to have cold hands, it can be seen with each person that he meets he has a warm heart.


Dr. Clair Bello III was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. He lives with his wife Alison and their two sons Evan and Nathan in the Ringgold, Georgia area.

Upon graduation from the University of Utah Dr. Bello was accepted and enrolled at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in New York City. He graduated in 1999 with the degree of Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM). Upon graduation from NYCPM he was accepted into the St. Barnabas Hospital Podiatric Medicine and Surgery program in the Bronx, NY for four years. Dr. Bello also served as Chief Podiatric Surgical Resident for 2 years. As a resident Dr. Bello received extensive training in foot and ankle surgery. Dr. Bello trained in trauma, limb salvage and reconstruction, arthroscopic surgery, pediatric deformities and general podiatric surgical procedures. Dr. Bello also had the opportunity to receive training in general Orthopedic and trauma surgery during his residency training.

Upon graduation from residency he joined the Northern California Foot and Ankle Center as an associate in Santa Rosa, California where he worked closely with some of the most progressive surgeons in the country. Dr. Bello had staff privileges with a number of hospitals in the area, and was the staff podiatrist with the Mendocino Community Health Clinics in Ukiah, California and working with the Hispanic community.

In March 2004, Dr. Bello was invited to lecture on foot and ankle surgery at the II Encuentro Internacional de Cirugia del pie (2nd International Conference of Foot Surgery) in Salamanca, Spain. Due to his fluency in Spanish his lectures were given entirely in Spanish.

In November 2004 Dr. Bello joined Advanced Foot Care as its newest doctor. It was a difficult decision to leave California, but one based on the better quality of life and opportunities as well as the friendliness of the people that Chattanooga and North Georgia have to offer for him and his family. Dr. Bello enjoys spending time with his family and is involved with little league and the Boy Scouts. Dr. Bello is huge college football fan.

Dr. Aaron Solomon was born in Chicago, his family moved to the Atlanta area in 1987. He attended Georgia Southern University and he graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Biology. After College he enrolled at the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia. He received his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree in 1999. His residency training in podiatric medicine and surgery included two years at Montgomery Hospital in Norristown, Pennsylvania, and an additional year of surgical training at the Ambulatory Foot and Leg Surgical Residency Program in Atlanta. After residency Dr. Solomon practiced in Atlanta.

Dr. Solomon is no stranger to the greater Chattanooga area, having visited and enjoyed this area several times since his family moved to Georgia in 1987. He is excited about the opportunity to practice in this area, and looks forward to helping the people of this area, as he has been a visitor here on several occasions from Atlanta. His several visits included trips to see the Lookouts, Tennessee Aquarium, or just to enjoy the scenic beauty of North Georgia and Southeast Tennessee. His hobbies include cooking, weightlifting, and he has recently developed a penchant for bowling.
